Welcome to April Mae's Sweet Hot Cocoa & More! We are a small family run business since 2018. 

Let me tell you a little about how we got started.

Our grandparents inspired us early in life. We watched as they cooked holiday meals for our huge families, they made so many people happy by bringing them together over food. This core inspiration would carry over into our adult years, as Scott's love for cooking and my love for baking grew. We began a decorating business for the holidays and our clients would ask about food items for their parties. We would whip something up and our clients would rave about it! We love to eat, but we also wanted to be healthy and eat healthy. 

We looked around for healthy drinks like hot cocoa and we could not find any. Most were heavily processed or the recipes you could find on the major pin board site would require you to purchase said processed food. There were healthy alternatives but most tasted like cardboard and we wanted flavor and taste but still be healthy. So, we created our very own proprietary blend of hot cocoa mix. We took three years to develop our hot cocoa mix and we made sure we never compromised on flavor, ingredients or taste. All our cocoas come from ecologically sourced and socially responsible harvesting. All of our packaging are being moved to compostable bags, which are better for environment. We also use all kosher healthy ingredients. We do not use anti-caking agents such as corn starch or put other fillers like chocolate chips, marshmallows, mixes or candies in our cocoa. Every order is hand made in small batches and are healthy! The difference and taste is Amazing! 

We wanted comfort food that we could live with, we never thought we would turn this into a business where we have 50+ different flavors of hot cocoa mixes but here we are.
As we have grown our online store over the last couple of years we have also developed a line of smoothies, moon milks, dried soups, and  coming soon granola cocoa mixes that we have hand crafted with same care and love that inspired our hot cocoas. shop our site and see the full range of cocoa flavors we offer along with our other items.
